Create your FediPass account

You can create a FediPass account that is directly linked to your Fediverse account, for example a Mastodon account. Use your primary Fediverse account here. You can add other accounts later in your settings.

FediPass will ask your Fediverse server for read-only access to selected account information: your account details, accounts you follow, posts you liked, and posts you made. We use this to create your usage statistics and distribute your FediPass contribution to Fediverse content and service providers according to your usage.

You can review these statistics in your FediPass dashboard and adjust the allocation later. FediPass does not know your billing address or your real identity; billing data belongs to FediPay.

After you grant permission, your FediPass account is created and you are sent to your profile page. Later you can return by logging in with the same Fediverse account.

This helps FediPass ingest your visible posts and boosts locally instead of polling remote timelines. If you turn it off, FediPass can still use OAuth data you authorize, but public-post and boost statistics may be less complete.

FediPass asks you to accept this follow request so your visible posts and boosts can be included without unnecessary remote polling. You can change these preferences later on your profile page. Turning reminders off only prevents follow-reminder messages.

If Mastodon is currently logged into another account, switch or log out in Mastodon before starting FediPass OAuth. FediPass cannot switch your Mastodon browser session automatically.
