Cookies and local storage
Why information is stored in your browser
We use cookies to associate your login, protect forms against unauthorized requests and apply your language preference. A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser for a website and sent with matching requests to that website.
- Session: associates requests with your signed-in account. Cookie name and lifetime per service: DUMMY: SESSION COOKIES AND LIFETIMES.
- Form protection: checks that a submitted form belongs to your browser. Cookie name and lifetime: DUMMY: CSRF COOKIE AND LIFETIME.
- Language: remembers your selected language. Cookie name and lifetime: DUMMY: LANGUAGE COOKIE AND LIFETIME.
- Other local storage: DUMMY: PURPOSES, KEYS AND RETENTION OR NONE.
FediID and connected services manage their sessions separately. FediPay may therefore require another security check while you remain signed in to FediPass.
Legal basis and choice
Storage or access strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly request takes place under section 25(2) TDDDG. We obtain prior consent for non-essential storage or access. You may withdraw that consent for the future.
The privacy notice explains the legal bases for subsequent processing of personal data.
Managing cookies
Your browser settings let you view, delete or block cookies. Blocking required cookies may prevent login and form submission. A language preference saved in your account can remain after a language cookie is deleted.
Use the logout function to end access. Deleting browser data does not delete invoices, contractual evidence or account data on our servers. Your login at your Fediverse provider exists independently of sessions at our services.
