FediPass subscriber agreement
1. Contracting party and scope
Your contracting party is Heino Falcke, Heinrich-Imig-Str. 31 50226 Frechen, Germany. Contact us at fedipass@fedipass.org.
FediPass manages your pass, participation and contribution distribution. FediPay handles billing details, payment methods, invoices and payment status. FediPass privately calculates how contributions are allocated to participating content providers, software projects and services. FediID provides login and account association.
This agreement governs your paid FediPass participation and its payment processing through FediPay. Participation as a recipient is covered by the separate recipient agreement. A pass does not entitle you to particular content or services from an independent recipient unless expressly agreed.
2. Account and contract formation
You sign in through FediID and provide the details needed for billing. Keep your name, billing address and contact information current and protect your access. Sensitive functions may require additional authentication.
Before a binding order, you are shown the plan, total price, billing period, chosen payment method and any permitted additional costs. Submitting the binding order is your contractual offer; the contract is formed by our acceptance confirmation. Creating an account or accepting this agreement alone does not trigger a payment.
3. Contributions, prices and payment
The prices shown when ordering apply, including stated taxes and costs. Recurring payments follow your chosen billing period and payment authorization. Changing this information page alone does not establish additional charges.
Contributions are allocated according to the rules described for your selected plan. Administration and service shares and deductible processing costs are disclosed in the plan and billing information. Receipt of a payment by FediPay and a later payout to a recipient are separate events.
You can inspect invoices and payment status in your FediPay account. If a payment fails, we inform you of the outstanding amount and next steps. Statutory rights concerning unauthorized charges remain unaffected.
4. Plan changes, pauses and cancellation
You can request a pass or distribution change at any time in FediPass. Changes take effect on the first day of the next calendar month (UTC). Your current paid month's terms remain unchanged. Published catalogue changes do not alter an already paid period.
You may pause your participation for one, three or six months or indefinitely. Pauses, cancellation and requested resumption take effect from the next calendar month. The confirmation specifies the effective date. Existing amounts owed are not extinguished by a pause.
Your first participation starts after confirmed payment, with a proportional contribution for the remainder of that calendar month. Subsequent billing periods are calendar months. The right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected. See cancellation for details and contact methods.
5. Use and responsibility
Do not use the service for deception, manipulation of contribution allocations or bypassing security controls. Where there are specific signs of misuse, we may temporarily restrict affected access to the extent necessary and proportionate. We inform you unless security needs or legal requirements prevent it.
Statutory provisions govern defects, damages and enforcement of contractual claims. This agreement does not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
6. Withdrawal, privacy and contact
Consumers can find information about withdrawal rights under withdrawal. Personal data processing is described in the privacy notice.
Send contractual and billing questions to fedipass@fedipass.org, including your short customer reference where possible.
